3D mannequin description
Skilled 10-inch rack mount engineered particularly for ASUS NUC 15 Professional SLIM mini PC (117×112×37mm). Open-frame thermal design maximizes airflow across the NUC’s honeycomb aspect vents for sustained 24/7 server operation.
Designed for homelab fanatics operating Proxmox, pfSense, TrueNAS, Docker, Kubernetes, media servers, and community administration home equipment.
ENGINEERED THERMAL MANAGEMENT
Open-frame building gives clearance for ASUS’s honeycomb air flow panels on each side of the unit. Strategic assist constructions preserve mechanical power whereas permitting unrestricted air circulation—no enclosed thermal entice throughout steady server workloads.
FEATURES
Molded depth cease lip prevents over-insertion and defines exact unit positioning. Your NUC 15 Professional SLIM seats repeatably with full port accessibility maintained. Type-fitted retention contours match the 117×112mm footprint exactly. Friction retention secures the 0.5kg unit underneath regular rack situations. For cellular deployments or high-vibration environments, add velcro retention strap by way of mounting holes.
Full entrance and rear I/O accessibility: entrance USB-C (10Gbps), twin USB-A, 3.5mm audio, energy button. Rear entry to twin DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1, 2.5GbE ethernet, USB-C, Kensington lock slot, and energy connector.

3D printing settings
Materials: ABS (really useful), ASA, or PETG. PC (polycarbonate) for optimum power and temperature resistance.
Orientation: Print as oriented in 3MF file. Mounting flanges flat on construct plate for optimum layer adhesion and power.
Layer Peak: 0.2mm customary, 0.16mm for finer floor end
Infill: 25-30% gyroid or grid sample. Strong ABS gives most rigidity and temperature stability.
Perimeters: 4 partitions minimal for structural power
Helps: None required when printed in really useful orientation
Construct Plate Adhesion: Brim really useful for ABS/ASA to stop warping on nook mounting holes
Temperature Tips:
ABS: 240-250°C nozzle / 95-105°C mattress
ASA: 245-255°C nozzle / 95-105°C mattress
PETG: 230-245°C nozzle / 70-80°C mattress
PC: 270-290°C nozzle / 100-120°C mattress (requires all-metal hotend)
Publish-Processing: Gentle sanding on contact surfaces optionally available for smoother NUC insertion. Acetone vapor smoothing for ABS/ASA creates skilled matte end.
Estimated Print Time: 4-6 hours relying on printer velocity and layer top
Estimated Materials: 180-220g relying on infill share
