Purdue College’s Composites Manufacturing and Simulation Middle has partnered with Thermwood to mix predictive simulation expertise with large-scale 3D printing for composite components manufacturing. The collaboration goals to allow “first-time-right” manufacturing of superior composite parts.
The partnership includes Purdue researchers, the CAMS Consortium, and Thermwood’s large-scale additive manufacturing (LSAM) expertise. Based on the organizations, this method is designed to speed up the transition from laboratory analysis to manufacturing unit manufacturing whereas decreasing improvement prices.
Dr. Byron Pipes and Dr. Eduardo Barocio from Purdue mentioned the collaboration within the video beneath.
