The fuel turbine hybrid vertical take-off and touchdown (VTOL) plane is designed for low-altitude missions and presents the flexibility of being optionally piloted, enabling each crewed and absolutely autonomous operations.
The collaboration leverages Joby’s current business plane growth program and main manufacturing capabilities, mixed with L3Harris’ confirmed experience in platform missionization together with sensors, effectors, communication and collaborative autonomy. Flight testing is predicted to begin this fall with the businesses planning to carry out operational demonstrations throughout authorities workout routines in 2026.
